On Saturday, March 21, 2009, a truly beautiful and sunny day, the Hilo High Walk Team strolled around KapiolaniPark, Honolulu, participating in the American Diabetes Association’s Walk to Fight Diabetes.Walking were Rodney Amasaki, Lester Chuck, Wil Fujimoto, Nan Hiraoka, Clay and Jean Nagao, Cal and Carolyn Kawamoto, Nina Kawamoto, Mike and Georgie Kubo, and Herb and Shirley Ota.Our goal was to raise at least $5000 and we raised $5080!Mahalo to all who contributed and to those who walked.After the walk, we got together at the Big City Diner to talk story.Here are the photos; enjoy and please think about joining us next year!
