2009 Jun Grave Site Memorial Service · June 12, 2009
Hi, everyone!

The First Annual Memorial Service Day was held on June 10.  Thanks to Cal for organizing, buying the flowers and taking us to lunch, we had a great time.  The 3 photos are not the greatest because we weren't prepared with a camera and had to use my cell phone camera.

There were 9 of us---Cal, Gordon & Ellen Murai, Phyllis Tsutsui, Bobby Fukuda, Roy Magno, Jane Saito, and Al & Betty Castro.

We first visited Earl Nagao's gravesite at the Valley of the Temples, then proceeded to Clyde Sakai's niche at Hawaiian Memorial Park--kinda got lost but finally got there and ended at Howard Saito's gravesite at the Mililani Cemetary.  Thanks to Gordon,  Earl & Howard each received  a can of Bud Light.  Thanks to Cal, we left red roses for them, too.

Lunch was at Elena's in Waipahu.  So, if you didn't come, you missed out on "ono" Filipino food.

Next year, God willing, we will hold this Memorial Service on June 10 and would like to see "plenty people".
